Our U16B league winners closed out their season with a fun training session followed by an awards ceremony and lunch in the Courtyard Hotel, on the banks of the Liffey in Leixlip village.

The team excelled beyond all expectations this year under the tutelage of the late Jim Mooney, and coaches Niall Cullen and Ger Murphy, assisted by Charlene Murphy.

There is one word, often used by Jim, that can be genuinely used to describe the girls - Amazing!! The girls lifted themselves from routine heavy defeats 2 years ago to league winners this year and were within the width of the post from adding the League Cup, named in Jim's honour, to their haul this year.

Jim was so proud of the girls and he would have been even more so yesterday.
