Kildare & District Football League. Masters Division 2; Maynooth Town 0, Liffeybank 1 (Brian)

A good start to the League for our Over 35 squad on Saturday. A super free kick from Brian was enough to claim all three points. Next up is Longwood in St.Catherine's Park on Saturday at 5:30 pm.

EWFL 3; Liffeybank 14 (Siobhan x4, Amy x3, Fainche x2, Sharon x2, Angie, Marie, Kate), Rathcoole 0

A bit of a one sided game in St.Catherine's Park on a hot Sunday afternoon. Liffeybank had a team in their forth season and plenty of young legs to make use of the big pitch. Rathcoole have only started this season out of their Women's Social group and its taking time to adjust to competitive football. The home side went ahead after just 15 seconds when Siobhan Reddin fired home from close range. Goals continued to flow for the "Town" girls. Reddin grabbed four, Amy Tully scored another hat-trick while last years top scored Fainche Grimes bagged a brace. Sharon Luis also grabbed a brace with Angelica scored her first for the club. Marie O'Neill scored from a corner kick and goal of the game was scored by young Kate O'Brien.

MGL U11B; Skerries Town 5 Liffeybank 4 (Bianca, Tessa, Holly, Aideen).

This was a very closely fought game. Liffeybank girls traveled to Skerries and acquitted themselves very well in an exceedingly tight game. On a boggy pitch, the girls took the lead but the home team battled back. Liffeybank scored some excellent goals, notably by Holly and Aideen.  And if it wasn’t for some super goalkeeping by the Skerries goaly (and some good fortune!) Liffeybank would have returned home with at least a point. Special mention to Ellie who made her debut.

NDSL U8; Liffeybank v Darndale

Loads of goals for the clubs youngest team. Tadgh continues to fire them in like hid Dad (scored on Wednesday for the 1st.team). Next up for the young guns is a home game next Saturday against Maynooth Town.

NDSL U10E; Liffeybank 3 (AJ, Xavi, Dylan), Maynooth Town 4.

A very close game between two committed teams on a sunny Saturday morning. Good to see AJ back on the score sheet. Both teams pushed forward at every opportunity.

NDSL U11F; Balbriggan 7, Liffeybank 4 (Benji x2, Alex, Ed).

MGL U14A; St.Joseph's 4, Liffeybank 7 (Emma M x3, Danni x2, Braylin, Skye).
