Saturday 16th. October saw another first for our club when both Skye Barrett and Lauren Coburn played for the MGL North side in a Challange game againt their MGL South counterparts. Both girls had very good games, Skye in Midfield and Lauren at full back.

The game itself ended 3 all with Lauren scoring a wonderful goal for her side from just inside the halfway line. The girls have been training all year in the Oscar Traynor Centre with girls from all over the Greater Dublin area. They are both very dedicated and work hard at their games. The MGL must be congratulated for looking outside the big clubs when picking their players proving you can stay local and still play on the big stage.
